Trek Santa Barbara is launching Legends of Santa Barbara, a new in-store speaker series celebrating the athletes and adventurers who define the local cycling community.
An evening with “Dirty” Dan Connell
Dan was the top American finisher in last year’s Tour Divide, one of the most demanding ultra-endurance mountain bike races in the world.
The series kicks off March 19 with local endurance standout “Dirty Dan” Connell, top American finisher in last year’s Tour Divide — a 2,700-mile self-supported race from Banff to the U.S.–Mexico border.
Connell will share stories from the Tour Divide, insights on ultra-endurance racing, and details about his upcoming world record attempt: a 14,000-mile ride from Alaska to Patagonia in 70 days or less.
The evening includes a Q&A session, light nibbles, and beer, wine and beverages. The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are required.
